USL Academy Cup ID Centers
Find the nearest USL Academy Cup ID Center to you and click the crest to be taken to the application page! Step 1 of tryouts is to apply for an USL Academy ID Center. Find more information below or in the description of the application.
TRYOUT PROCESS:
STEP 1: APPLY for USL Academy Cup ID Center (see all available ID Centers above). There are FIVE USL Academy Cup ID Centers available to apply for. Players may only select ONE ID Center to apply for.
STEP 2: Players must then receive an invitation to participate in the USL Academy Cup ID Center that they have applied for.
STEP 3: Selected players who are invited and participate in a USL Academy Cup ID Center will be recommended (based on application, references, and performance) to Detroit City FC to attend the final USL Academy Cup Camp Tryout. Players must also receive an invitation to attend the final USL Academy Cup Camp Tryout (January 2-4) in order to be eligible to make the roster.
STEP 4: 30 players per player pool will be invited to attend the USL Academy Cup Camp Tryout (January 2-4) and will compete for a roster spot on the Detroit City FC USL Academy Cup Team roster for their player pool.
STEP 5: 18 players in each player pool will be selected and invited to join the USL Academy Cup Teams to travel to Tampa, FL for the USL Academy Cup.
USL ACADEMY CUP ROSTER REGISTRATION INCLUDES:
-12 training sessions & 2 friendlies
-Travel costs included = TWO FLIGHTS (player + guardian), 1 HOTEL ROOM (2 bed). Does not include food or transportation in Tampa.
-Detroit City FC Academy Training Top
-Detroit City FC Academy Home/Away Kits (Shirt, shorts, socks).
-USL Academy Cup registration fees
USL ACADEMY CUP REGISTRATION:
COST: $2500 (includes travel arrangements). Players MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Questions/inquiries can be directed to academy@detcityfc.com
FINANCIAL AID:
Financial aid available for application based on a sliding scale of household income. Payment plans are included in registration.
