Press Credentials
Members of the media requesting press credentials should complete the media questionnaire by clicking here. The request must be made at least 7 days before the event. Press credentials may be given by single-game or full-season status. Media accreditation is strictly reserved for members of the press (print, photo, radio, television, film, news agencies and online media) who represent a bona fide media organization or freelancers on assignment from a media organization. Media organization must have demonstrable editorial oversight and a verifiable street address and telephone number. Credentials can be picked up at Media Will Call (Gate 2) at the box office on matchdays. In addition to the policies listed below, please note that only working media will be credentialed and no one under the age of 18 will be issued a credential without prior arrangements being made.
Access Guidelines
Credentials permit access to the media areas on the field surface and the press box. However, due to limited space and sightlines, no spaces are available in the press box. Alternatively, a secure media tent equipped with internet access and power will be made available on the south side of the pitch. The tent is somewhat exposed to the weather, so please dress for the elements. Also due to space limitations, post-game locker room access is not possible, but DCFC staff will effort to fill any postgame media requests on the field starting 10 minutes after the end of the match.
Professional Conduct
Media credentials are issued with the purpose of providing access to interviews and written, audio and visual accounts of the game as appropriate. Media members should not use access for autographs, personal photographs or commercial requests. Media credentialed for access to shoot photographs and video are expected to use professional equipment to file photographic or video accounts. Use of equipment such as ‘point and shoot’ style cameras or mobile telephones that are not considered professional equipment will result in access being restricted or rescinded.
Photographers
Photo credentials will be issued on a single-game or full-season basis to accredited media members. Only approved photographers will be permitted access to matches. Photo credentials must be visible at all times and corresponding bibs must be worn. Still photographers, with the proper bib, are permitted to shoot matches from behind the field signboards at either end line. Please note that a team photographer can also shoot from the sideline opposite the benches between the end line and the 18-yard line. Photography is permitted at any location on stadium level that does not obstruct the view of spectators, security, medical officials on-site and emergency exits. At no time are photographers allowed on the field of play. Game photos may not be sold without the permission of Detroit City FC.
Television cameras pointed towards the pitch are limited to natural arena light whenever the match is in progress.
Media Parking
There is no designated media parking area (handicapped parking is available), but there is ample parking in the neighborhood surrounding the stadium. There is usually residential street parking available on Hanley and Jacob (Roosevelt and Goodson are closed off to non residents). Additionally, Hamtramck Town Center is always a safe bet with ample spaces available.
