DETROIT, Michigan –
Your Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers, premier partners of Detroit City Football Club, in collaboration with the Detroit Free Press, have kicked off the Top 10 Cares Program to support Detroit restaurants and feed our Healthcare Heroes.Donations will help serve 5,000 healthy meals to Healthcare Heroes while providing $100,000 to beloved Detroit area restaurants.
The goal is to feed 1,250 Healthcare Heroes per week at participating Detroit area hospital systems: Beaumont, DMC, Henry Ford Health Systems and Providence/Ascension. For that to happen, we need to raise $25,000 each week. If we exceed that goal, more restaurants and hospitals will be added.
Each meal will cost $20. Restaurants will use this money to cover food costs, labor, individual containers and delivery, and the remaining dollars will go towards filling the losses they are suffering by not having patrons in their restaurants. Each restaurant will be paid by the number of meals they make each week.
The campaign is supporting 10 previous winners of the Detroit Free Press/Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers Top 10 Best New Restaurants: Folk, Grey Ghost, Ima, Leila, Marrow, Mink, Pernoi, Saffron De Twah, SheWolf and Yum Village.

Many local restaurants are struggling as more than 72,000 restaurant workers have already lost their jobs. One in three restaurants in Michigan face the very real threat of closing their doors as thousands of local restaurants will not recover from this crisis.
