With the 2018 season kicking off this weekend, Detroit City FC announced its major sponsors and new programs at its fourth annual Soccer Prom event held at Small’s Bar on Wednesday.
Headlining the list of announcements is Detroit City FC’s new partnership with Lyft, who is the club’s title sponsor and Official Rideshare Partner for the 2018 season.
The partnership includes the placement of the Lyft logo on the front of all 2018 jerseys, as well as a new Lyft pickup location at Keyworth Stadium in Hamtramck, Mich., and exclusive benefits for all fans who use Lyft to attend DCFC matches.
This is Lyft’s first-ever jersey sponsorship for a sports team.
In addition to announcing its sponsors, Detroit City FC also announced its new youth select soccer program in partnership with Detroit PAL. The initiative will provide professional coaching, training, and a higher level of competition for Detroit youth interested in soccer as a low or no-cost program for families in our city.
Strategic Staffing Solutions returns as sponsor of DCFC’s annual International Series. On May 19, Detroit will host German club FC St. Pauli. The international friendly will be televised live on FOX Sports Detroit.
Joining Lyft and Strategic Staffing Solutions on all 2018 DCFC Adidas jerseys is Henry Ford Health System, who returns as the Official Team Physicians of DCFC. As the Official Team Physicians of DCFC, Henry Ford Health System athletic trainers and physicians will assist players at all home matches and training sessions in 2018.
In addition to its DCFC International Series and 2018 jersey sponsorship, Strategic Staffing Solutions will once again sponsor the S3 Biergarten at Keyworth Stadium.
Axle Brewing Company, Blake’s Hard Cider Company and Stroh’s return as official alcohol partners of DCFC. Fans over the age of 21 will be able to enjoy Stroh’s, Axle products, including CITY Pale Ale, as well as Blake’s products, including its branded hard cider Cider ‘Til I Die, at Keyworth Stadium all season long.
New this season is Detroit City Distillery, the Official Liquor of DCFC, which will now be served at Keyworth.
Rip It Energy returns as the Official Energy Drink of Le Rouge.
DFCU Financial returns this season to sponsor the DFCU Financial Lounge, which provides fans with the ultimate VIP experience on matchday. At each home match, fans can enjoy on-field seating, food and drinks for just $50.
Level One joins Detroit City FC and will help highlight other small businesses making a difference in the city. Keyworth will now feature an additional on-field VIP section dedicated to small businesses that will be highlighted during each match.
Prior to Soccer Prom, DCFC announced Faygo’s return as Official Pop of Detroit City FC. The club will continue to sell Faygo products on matchdays.
DCFC is excited to extend its partnership with Wheelhouse Detroit to provide fans with a free bike valet at every home match at Keyworth Stadium. Fowling Warehouse returns as the Official Prematch Bar.
Detroit City FC is also glad to welcome back great partners like MotorCity Casino Hotel as its Official Hotel and Casino Partner, Lawrence Tech as its Official Higher Education Partner, as well as the Painted Lady and Schneider+Smith Architects.
After coming off a historic 2017 season that saw the team win its first Midwest Region championship, the offseason was one of the busiest yet for Le Rouge: DCFC announced its plans to open the Detroit City Fieldhouse and launched new youth soccer partnerships with YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit and the Downtown Detroit Partnership.
