With only a few months until opening kickoff, Detroit City FC has released its 2018 National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) schedule for the upcoming season, featuring a 12-match Midwest Region Great Lakes Conference campaign.
DCFC will announce its 2018 friendly matches in the coming days. The full 2018 schedule will be released Tuesday, February 6.
In total, City will host six NPSL Great Lakes Conference matches at Keyworth Stadium in Hamtramck, MI.
City will kick-off its seventh NPSL season with an away match against AFC Ann Arbor on Sunday, May 13 at 3 PM ET.
Le Rouge will open its third season at Keyworth on Friday, May 25 vs. expansion team FC Columbus. Kickoff for the 2018 NPSL home opener is at 7:30 PM ET.
The regular season is rounded out by a home match vs. Milwaukee Torrent on Sunday, July 1 before an away trip to Kalamazoo FC on Saturday, July 7.

2018 PLAYOFF FORMAT
At the conclusion of the regular season, the top two teams in each conference, a total of six teams, will qualify for the Midwest Region playoffs. Of the three conference winners, the top two will be determined by calculating the average points per game and will be seeded #1 and #2, with the #1 seed having the highest points per game average.
Seeds #1 and #2 will receive byes in the first round of the playoffs. The remaining conference winner will be the #3 seed.
Seeds #4, #5 and #6 will be determined by calculating the average points per game among the second place finishers in each conference.
Two first-round qualifying matches will be played by seeds #3, #4, #5, and #6, on Saturday, July 14. The lowest-seeded winner will advance to play the #1 seed, and the highest-seeded winner will advance to play the #2 seed in the Midwest Region Final Four the weekend of July 20. The Midwest Region Final, which will determine the lone representative in the national NPSL Semifinals, will be held July 22.
The host of the Midwest Region Final Four will be awarded based on a bidding process open to all teams participating in the regional semifinal.
2018 SEASON TICKETS
2018 season tickets will open to 2018 season ticket deposit holders in conjunction with the release of DCFC’s full 2018 schedule on February 6.
Details on season ticket prices will be announced later. Season tickets will open to the general public at 10 AM ET on Friday, February 9.
