With the 2017 season right around the corner, Detroit City FC unveiled its new jerseys and sponsorship lineup at its third annual Soccer Prom on Thursday night.
Headlining the list of team announcements is the club’s partnership with Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers as DCFC’s title sponsor for a third consecutive season, and Strategic Staffing Solutions as sponsor of the DCFC International Series against Glentoran FC of Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Additionally, it was announced that Adidas will outfit Le Rouge in 2017. This is the first year the club will wear Adidas jerseys and teamwear.
DCFC revealed its Adidas home and away jerseys during the event hosted at Small’s Bar in Hamtramck. City also unveiled its Detroit Cougars 50th Anniversary Match jerseys, which the team will wear on Saturday, May 27 at Keyworth Stadium against Glentoran FC.
Le Rouge’s special Alternatives For Girls charity jerseys, which the team will wear for its regular season NPSL home match vs. Kalamazoo FC on Friday, June 23, were also released. Player-worn jerseys will be auctioned off in a silent auction held at Keyworth, and all proceeds will benefit Alternatives For Girls, a Detroit nonprofit that serves homeless and at-risk girls and women.
As title sponsor, Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers returns to the front of City’s home and away jerseys. The partnership includes online streaming of all of City’s home NPSL matches and its Glentoran FC match.
Last year, DCFC livestreams presented by Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers reached more than 4,000 viewers per match from nearly 50 different countries around the world. DCFC will also continue its partnership with Fox Sports Detroit, which will see all City livestreams broadcasted on foxsports.com/detroit and https://www.detcityfc.com.
Additionally, DCFC will host several youth clinics around Metro Detroit thanks to Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers during the summer season. The clinics will be open to all children aged six through 12. Details on the clinics will be released at a later date.
Joining Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers on the 2017 Detroit City FC home and away jerseys are Faygo, the Official Pop of Detroit City FC; Henry Ford Health System, the Official Sports Medicine Provider; and Strategic Staffing Solutions.
The 2017 home and away jerseys are now available for purchase at the DCFC club shop at 2750 Yemans Street and are also available for purchase online at detcityfcstore.com.
As the team’s Official Sports Medicine Provider, Henry Ford Health System trainers and physicians will assist DCFC players at all home matches and training sessions in 2017.
City is proud to welcome Strategic Staffing Solutions on-board for its first year as an official sponsor of Le Rouge. In addition to its DCFC International Series and 2017 jersey sponsorship, Strategic Staffing Solutions will sponsor the new S3 Biergarten at Keyworth Stadium all season long.
DFCU Financial also joins City as a team sponsor for 2017. At every home match, supporters may enjoy on-field seating, food and drinks in the DFCU Lounge at Keyworth Stadium for just $50.
Prior to last night’s event, Le Rouge announced its alcohol sponsors will return in 2017. City will serve CITY Pale Ale from Axle Brewing Company, an Official Beer Partner of DCFC, at all home matches. In addition, supporters can purchase all Blake’s Hard Cider Company products at Keyworth, including its branded hard cider, Cider ‘Til I Die.
Detroit’s own Stroh’s returns as an Official Beer Partner, and will also be served at every home match. DCFC will serve Heaven Hill spirits, including Larceny Bourbon, at the Larceny Bar at the stadium.
Other major sponsors include DTE Energy, Metro PCS, Better Made, MotorCity Casino Hotel and Rip It Energy.
