2026 DCFC Roster | 2026 DCFC Schedule
Detroit, Mich. – Detroit City FC (DCFC) welcomes Hartford Athletic to Keyworth Stadium on Friday night to open their USL Championship Playoff run. Kickoff is set for 8:00pm and will be streamed for free on the CBS Sports Golazo Network. Le Rouge enters the playoffs as the third seed in the Eastern Conference, bringing a playoff match to Keyworth Stadium for the second time in three years.
Detroit City FC enters the playoffs strong, with three wins, one draw, and one loss in their last five matches leading into Friday, finishing the regular season with a 0-0 draw at Louisville City FC. Hartford Athletic ended their regular season with a dramatic 2-1 victory over Rhode Island FC, propelling themselves to the sixth seed in the East.
Over the course of the 2026 regular season, only Hartford Athletic and Miami FC have scored at least three goals against Detroit City FC. Hartford scored twice at Trinity Health Stadium in May, and once at Keyworth Stadium in September. Detroit City FC’s defensive line, including captain Devon Amoo-Mensah and Callum Montgomery, will look to keep Hartford off the scoreboard on Friday night in front of the USL Championship’s Golden Glove award winner Carlos Herrera.
Home Field Advantage: Detroit City FC conceded only five goals at home over the 2026 regular season, tying a USL Championship record. Le Rouge looks to continue its defensive dominance on Friday night.
Award Season: Le Rouge goalkeeper Carlos Herrera was honored by the league on Monday, receiving the Golden Glove award. Given annually to the league’s best goalkeeper, Herrera posted 14 clean sheets and a 0.65 goals-against average.
Defensive Dominance: The most recent goal that Detroit City FC conceded at Keyworth Stadium was a Hartford penalty kick on September 5th. Le Rouge’s current defensive run ranks fifth in league history, with only one goal allowed in their last 719 minutes at home.
Playoff History: Detroit City FC has made the playoffs in all five seasons since joining the USL Championship, winning two matches, over the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in 2023 and Louisville City FC in 2025. Both victories were on the road, so Le Rouge looks to win at Keyworth Stadium in the playoffs for the first time since joining the USL Championship. Hartford Athletic has made the playoffs for the second time in club history, and is still searching for their first playoff victory.
Halloween at Keyworth: Friday night’s match will include all kinds of Halloween festivities, including pre-match wrestling on the concourse and themed drink specials. Costumes are encouraged and candy will be offered to children entering through Gate 3.
