DETROIT, Michigan – The Detroit City Football Club continues its four-match W League road tour on Sunday, May 29, as Le Rouge takes on Flint City AFC at Atwood Stadium. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. and streaming via Eleven.
Detroit City looks to bounce back from a recent 3-1 loss at Midwest United FC on Thursday night. Forward Faith Webber struck first in the 12th minute to give Le Rouge a 1-0 lead, but MUFC nabbed three goals before heading to the locker room at the half, more than enough to secure the match.
DCFC’s three goals this season have come from three different players – Webber, defender Madison Duncan, and forward Ellie Pool.
With Thursday’s loss, City slipped to seventh in the Great Lakes division with a mark of 0-2-2. Flint City AFC sits in sixth place having lost its last three outings – most recently to Racing Louisville, 4-1.
Flint City’s -8 goal differential is the second-lowest in the division behind only King’s Hammer who sits in last in the table. Alli Leonard and Jenna Blackburn currently lead Flint City in goals this season with two apiece – Blackburn also paces the side with eight shots.
