Detroit City FC, in collaboration with Uncommon Heights Productions, released the second installment of its new storytelling series, “Where We Stand,” on Friday, August 21, on the club’s YouTube channel.
The monthly series follows the people, perspectives, and purpose that shape the AlumniFi Field stadium development project, as DCFC builds their forever home. Each installment connects the physical development of the club’s future stadium with the personal stories that give the project meaning.
The first film, “Where We Stand: On Dreams,” centered on Detroit City FC captain Devon Amoo-Mensah and the significance of building permanent roots for young families. The newest installment, “Where We Stand: On Family,” highlights how the people and communities around the club help define what a lasting home can represent, by centering on the Cuevas family, a multigenerational household with deep roots in Southwest Detroit.
As DCFC continues its journey toward AlumniFi Field, “Where We Stand” remains focused on the human stories behind the project. The series frames the stadium not simply as a venue, but as a future gathering place built around the identity, culture, and shared aspirations of the communities that make up Detroit City FC.
The full film “Where We Stand: On Family” is now available on the Detroit City FC YouTube channel.
