Coed recreational development program for 6-12 year-olds, led by Detroit City FC Youth Programs Coaching Staff. Players will have a weekly practice on Tuesday and game on Thursday.
Program Overview Season Length:
8/9 weeks Start Date: Tuesday, September 2 – Thursday, September 4 End Date: Tuesday, October 28 – Thursday, October 30
Location: Detroit City Fieldhouse (3401 E. Lafayette, Detroit, MI)
Cost: $99 per participant Registration Deadline: 9/14/2025
Team & Age Breakdown:
Players are grouped by age and placed on coed teams that reflect their developmental stage. Each age group practices and competes within their division to ensure appropriate pace, format, and instruction.
6-Year-Old Teams (4v4 format)
7/8-Year-Old Teams (4v4 format)
9/10-Year-Old Teams (7v7 format)
11/12-Year-Old Teams (7v7 format)
Weekly Schedule:
Ages 6–8 (4v4 format) Practice: Tuesdays, 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM Games: Thursdays, 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM
Ages 9–12 (7v7 format) Practice: Tuesdays, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM Games: Thursdays, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
What to Expect:
Structured coaching by trained, background-checked DCFC Youth staff. Skill development focused on ball control, teamwork, and spatial awareness. Weekly games in a low-pressure, learning-focused environment. Emphasis on sportsmanship, community, and having fun

The Futures 6-12y recreation program parallels our Detroit City FC Coach Training Program. Receive on the job training and support with Detroit City FC while furthering your coach education in youth soccer.
