The Futures program is Detroit City FC’s bridge between beginner soccer and competitive travel play. Designed for players ages 6–12, Futures introduces the structure of travel-level soccer — weekday practices and weekend games — but without the heavy cost or year-round commitment.
This program is ideal for:
- Pathway Players: 6–7 year old’s graduating from TOTS and Foundations.
- New Players (ages 7–12): Families looking for a strong entry point into soccer with quality coaching.
- Families Unsure About Travel: A low-risk way to experience travel-style soccer schedules before committing.
Players benefit from 2 hours of structured training each week and Saturday scrimmages to apply their skills in game-like settings.

- 6 year olds: 4-5PM (Tues/Thurs) – Boarded Field
- 7/8 year olds: 4-5PM (Tues/Thurs) – Boarded Field
- 9/10 year olds: 4-5PM (Tues/Thurs) – Open Field
- 11/12 year olds: 4-5PM (Tues/Thurs) – Open Field
- Saturday Scrimmages: In-house match play, 30-minute games each week
- 12pm – 6 year old group – Boarded Field – 4v4
- 12pm – 7/8 year old group – Boarded Field – 4v4
- 12:30pm – 9/10 year old group – Open Field – 7v7
- 12:30pm – 11/12 year old group – Open Field – 7v7
