Pittsburgh, PA — Detroit City Football Club faced another tough evening, suffering a 2-0 defeat to the Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC. Detroit made one change coming out of the halftime break, bringing on. Jeciel Cedeño for Ben Morris.
Detroit continued to struggle at the start of the second half, as midfield turnovers killed any momentum the team was trying to build.
Another change came in the 65th minute for Detroit, as Jordan Adebayo-Smith and Connor Rutz entered the match for Sebastián Guenzatti and Darren Smith.
A cross into the box in the 66th minute by Pittsburgh went over Herrera and trickled to Robbie Mertz at the back post, who tapped it in to give Riverhounds a 2-0 lead.
Detroit’s final changes came in the 76th minute, as Haruki Yamazaki and Dominic Gasso entered for Alex Villanueva and Marcello Polisi.
