DETROIT – Detroit City Football Club is proud to announce its 2024 Charity Partner,
Community Health and Social Services (CHASS) Center. CHASS Center was selected via
a vote at our Annual Owners Meeting in early March at El Bosque in Southwest Detroit.
The Community Health and Social Services (CHASS) Center, Inc., is a community-based,
not-for-profit organization formed to develop, promote, and provide comprehensive, accessible,
and affordable quality primary health care and support services to all residents of the
community, with special emphasis on the underserved African-American and Latino populations.
CHASS is committed to the overall well-being of the community.
CHASS Center has been in operation since 1970.
As the club’s official Charity Partner for the 2024 season, the annual charity match, set for later
this season, will feature specially designed kits with CHASS Center on the front. These kits
will then be auctioned off with proceeds going to the Center. Furthermore, DCFC will collaborate
with CHASS to promote events and opportunities throughout 2024.
“Partnering with CHASS Center is exciting because of their commitment to playing a part in
the betterment of our community. Both Detroit City FC and CHASS share core values that are
integral to the fabric of Detroit – equity, affordability, and a steadfast commitment to serving as a
common ground for everyone in our city,” said Alex Wright, Chief Creative Officer of Detroit City
FC. “Throughout the 2024 season, we aim to amplify the incredible work CHASS does in Detroit
and, together, take concrete steps towards building a more equitable city.”
“We are honored to have been selected as the 2024 Charity Partner of Detroit City FC. Our
dedication to the health and wellness of our community includes partnerships with organizations
that embrace shared values of equity and affordability and bring the community together to
positively impact their daily lives. We look forward to supporting DCFC throughout the season
adding to the energetic fan base.” Felix Valbuena, Jr, MD, CEO, CHASS Center.
