Detroit, Michigan – Today, the USL W League announced the league-wide schedules for the 2024 campaign. Detroit City FC will begin its 2024 season on the road to Flint City AFC on Saturday, May 11, at 7:00 PM at Atwood Stadium.
Then, just a week later, Detroit City FC will welcome Flint City AFC to Keyworth Stadium for their 2024 W League Home Opener, set for a 7 PM kickoff on Saturday, May 18.
On May 23, Le Rouge will travel to take on Michiana Lions FC, a first-time opponent for Le Rouge.
Le Rouge will have five home matches in the USL W League during June, the most ever for the club, welcoming Cleveland Force SC, AFC Ann Arbor, Midwest United FC, Michiana Lions, and Kalamazoo FC. Longtime fans of Detroit City FC will be familiar with AFC Ann Arbor as the two sides first met in the National Premier Soccer League in 2016 in Detroit City FC’s first-ever match at Keyworth Stadium and have faced off in W League matches for the last two seasons. The same can be said for Kalamazoo FC, a club Le Rouge first faced in the 2016 NPSL season.
“There is no better time of the year for soccer in Michigan than when the DCFC men’s and women’s teams are playing in parallel,” said Le Rouge co-owner Alex Wright. “We look forward to the start of the USL W League season every year, and 2024 features our best slate of home matches yet. We’ve implemented feedback from our supporters about featuring earlier kickoff times amongst the traditional 7:00 starts, which will make this year’s team more accessible than ever.”
The second-ever home Men’s and Women’s Doubleheader matchday is set for Saturday, June 15 as the USL Championship side welcomes the Eastern Conference Champions, Charleston Battery FC for a 4PM kickoff before the USL W League side welcomes Midwest United FC in a 7PM kickoff.

Last season, Detroit City FC finished with a record of 5-3-4 in the USL W League, claiming third place in the Great Lakes Division.
Like last season, Le Rouge will be part of the Central Conference, which is divided into three divisions. The Valley Division, The Great Lakes Division, and the Heartland Division. The overarching conference and its divisions will become more relevant when playoff information is announced at a later date.
