It’s been decades since a professional Detroit soccer team took to the pitch.
But that all changes this week.
Detroit City FC visits Los Angeles Force on Friday, February 28 in the club’s first-ever professional match, and the start of its 2020 National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) Spring season.
It’s a historic week for Le Rouge, whose highly anticipated 2020 season brings its first full professional men’s season and its first-ever women’s season. The club recently announced it had paid off its debt from its community investment campaign to fund renovations at Keyworth Stadium in 2016.
DCFC also announced it had sold out of Gold Card season tickets, the club’s only premium ticket package, for the upcoming season.
