The National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) today announced dates for its home openers for the Spring 2020 season.
Detroit City FC will open its 2020 NISA campaign at Los Angeles Force on Friday, February 28 at 10 PM ET before hosting Oakland Roots at Keyworth Stadium for its home opener on Saturday, March 21. The kickoff time for the home opener will be announced in the coming weeks.
2020 marks Detroit City FC’s first full professional season for the men’s team and the club’s fifth season at Keyworth Stadium.
With the full season schedule set to be revealed later in January featuring its full roster of clubs, the NISA Spring 2020 season will mark the inaugural single table competition format for NISA with East meets West competition kicking off the season. The Spring 2020 season will culminate in a Playoffs and Finals series. The format for the Playoffs will feature two semifinals based on club finish in the Spring season; (Cal United Strikers vs. #4 seed, #2 seed vs. #3 seed). The Finals series will be a home and away series. The full 2020 Spring schedule will be released in the coming weeks.
2020 single match tickets will also be released in the coming weeks. Season tickets are still available for purchase at tickets.https://www.detcityfc.com and grant entry to every regular season and friendly home match for the Detroit City FC men’s and women’s teams.
