Detroit City FC stole three points from Chattanooga FC on Saturday night with a 1-0 win at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga, TN.
Centerback Jalen Crisler scored City’s lone goal in the 77th minute. The Gonzaga alum rose over Chattanooga goalkeeper Philip D’Amico on the corner from James Vaughan that was redirected by captain Stephen Carroll. Crisler headed home his first City goal and what would end up being the game-winner.
Defender Tendai Jirira was named Man of the Match for his efforts throughout the 90 minutes.
The win means Detroit City FC (5-0-1) remains unbeaten in 2019 National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) Members Cup play with four matches left to play.
Le Rouge returns to Keyworth Stadium on Tuesday, October 8 to host Michigan Stars FC in Members Cup action. The match also marks DCFC’s annual charity match.
