Detroit City FC and its title sponsor, Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers, are teaming up to collect used soccer gear at Le Rouge’s match at Keyworth Stadium this Friday, July 14.
Supporters are encouraged to bring new or gently used soccer equipment (soccer balls, shinguards, cleats, etc.) to the match in support of Downtown Boxing Gym Youth Program’s new soccer facility.
Donations will be collected in the bed of a truck provided by Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers. The truck will be parked on Keyworth’s main concourse located near the main entrance.
Detroit City FC is proud to support Downtown Boxing Gym Youth Program, a non-profit organization that currently serves more than 130 students between the ages of 7 and 18. More than 75% of the enrolled students live within a 3-mile radius of the gym. Many are residents of the nearby public housing units. Their families benefit by witnessing and participating in our hands-on coaching methodology.
DCFC hosts Lansing United on Friday in City’s final regular season match of 2017. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. on matchday. Tickets are available here.
