Venezia FC and Italian soccer legend Filippo Inzaghi are coming to Keyworth Stadium.
Detroit City FC will host the Venice, Italy, side in its highly anticipated international match on Tuesday, July 18 at 7:30 PM.
But before the match, DCFC has announced a special kick-off party, including a meet and greet and Q&A session with representatives from DCFC and Venezia FC, including Venezia manager, Filippo Inzaghi, on Monday, July 17.
The event will be hosted at Amnesia at MotorCity Casino Hotel from 6-8 PM, and is open to the general public. There will be a cash bar and light appetizers.
Supporters will be able to meet Inzaghi and ask him questions during the open Q&A session with the Venezia manager and DCFC ownership.
Venezia is coming off one of the most successful seasons in its history, including winning Lega Pro, the third division of Italian soccer, thereby earning promotion to Serie B.
Inzaghi took over the management of Venezia FC in June of 2016 after a prolific career as a player with AC Milan and Juventus, where he scored the fourth most goals in the history of European Club competitions.
