Join Detroit City FC at the annual Clark Park Winter Carnival on Saturday, February 25, featuring free events for the whole family and this year’s Outdoor Charity Hockey Classic!
Enjoy ice skating on Clark Park’s outdoor rink, music, food, outdoor games, a horse-drawn carriage and more from 12-4 p.m.
The Clark Park Winter Carnival is free and open to the general public in support of the Clark Park Coalition, a neighborhood non-profit that fields the bulk of Detroit PAL soccer teams.
The Charity Hockey Classic, founded three years ago by our good friend M.L. Elrick, has raised more than $5,000 each year in support of Clark Park. Puck drop for this year’s Charity Hockey Classic is at 6:30 PM.
For more than 25 years, the Clark Park Coalition has provided an array of diverse, high-quality recreational, educational, social and mentoring programs for southwest Detroit families while promoting skills development which helps our youth grow into responsible, self-confident adults.
Clark Park provides four seasons worth of programming for more than 1,200 youth. It operates the only regulation-sized outdoor ice hockey rink in Metro Detroit, and provides free lunches daily to more than 100 youth throughout the summer.
