The 2017 Detroit City FC season is starting to take shape.
Today the club announced the makeup of its 2017 National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) conference and preliminary details on next year’s schedule.
Detroit returns to the NPSL Midwest Region, which in 2017 will be comprised of three conferences: North, Great Lakes and East.

Detroit City FC is joined in the Great Lakes conference by returning teams Lansing United, Michigan Stars FC, Kalamazoo FC, AFC Ann Arbor and Grand Rapids FC.
Expansion team Milwaukee Torrent and FC Indiana (formerly of the 2016 Great Lakes East conference) round-out the 8-team conference. FC Indiana plays its matches in Lafayette, IN.
The 2017 Great Lakes regular season will feature a balanced schedule with home-and-away fixtures between the eight teams.
Regular season play is set to begin the weekend of May 12-14. The final day of the regular season is Saturday, July 22.
Midwest Region playoffs will determine the lone representative to the national final four and will commence the week of July 24, 2017.
