UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA: Senior Danny Deakin and his South Carolina Gamecocks host Mercer on Thursday at 1 PM ET. The Gamecocks finished the regular season 10-7-1 overall and 5-2-1 in the C-USA. Deakin led his team in goals, assists and points with seven, six and 20, respectively. His stellar season led to him being named to the All-Conference USA First Team. The Gamecocks fell to Old Dominion, 2-1, in the C-USA tournament quarterfinals on Nov. 9. South Carolina has a 7-4-1 home record in 2016. Follow the Gamecocks on Twitter here.
UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO-LOYOLA: The Loyola Ramblers are set to host UIC in Thursday’s first-round matchup, with kickoff slated for 8 PM ET. Loyola finished the regular season with an impressive 13-3-1 record overall and a 6-1-1 record in the Missouri Valley Conference, earning the regular season conference title. Sophomore Alec Lasinski was named to the All-MVC Second Team, leading his team in goals and points with six and 16, respectively. The Ramblers are coming off a 2-1 OT loss to Missouri State in its MVC tournament semifinal match on Nov. 11. Follow Loyola on Twitter here.
MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY: City head coach Ben Pirmann and assistant coach Bret Mollon and their Spartans host SIUE on Thursday at 1 PM ET. Pirmann, MSU assistant coach, and Mollon, MSU goalkeeping coach, helped the Spartans to a 13-5-1 overall record and 4-3-1 record in the Big Ten Conference. MSU fell to No. 1 Maryland, 2-1, in the Big Ten championship on Nov. 17. Follow the Spartans on Twitter here.
COLGATE: Junior Soto Raphtis and his Colgate Raiders visit UCLA on Thursday, with kickoff scheduled for 8 PM ET. The Raiders finished the regular season with a 13-6-2 overall record and a 5-3-1 record in the Patriot League. Colgate captured the Patriot League Conference Tournament championship on Nov. 13 following a 5-4 shootout win over American University. Follow Colgate here.
COASTAL CAROLINA UNIVERSITY: Former City goalkeeper Alexandre Bouillennec (Jr.) and his Coastal Carolina Chanticleers host Radford on Thursday at 2 PM ET. The Chants recorded a 9-6-3 overall record and a 3-1-1 conference record in the Sun Belt Conference. Carolina was named Sun Belt Conference Tournament champion on Nov. 13 after defeating Georgia State, 1-0. Bouillennec featured in two games for CCU this season.
