Le Rouge is excited to bring back its co-ed adult recreational soccer league to Detroit’s Historic Fort Wayne this fall. With an eight-week regular season beginning on August 25 and culminating on October 20, the DCFL Fall League aims to bring together those in the Metro Detroit area for competition and, most of all, an enjoyment of the game.
There is certainly no shortage of passion for soccer in Detroit, and the same can be said for food. The DCFL Fall League looks to blend those two passions by allowing each team to choose its name based on a Metro Detroit bar or restaurant that best represents the team as a whole. With the bar or restaurant’s approval, of course, you pick one that you think suits your team.
Space is limited! See below for more details:
Who: If you aren’t a Detroit resident, fear not. All Metro Detroit residents are welcome and encouraged to play.
To ensure the league remains competitive and fun for all, each team must register at least 18 players. Uniforms are not necessary, but matching tops are required. Because this is a co-ed league, three females must be on the field during league play.
Where: Historic Fort Wayne located at 6325 W Jefferson Ave, Detroit.
When: The DCFL Fall League is an eight-week season, running from August 25 until October 20, with one week of playoffs. Games will be played on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
How much: The cost to play is $750 per team. All teams must complete a waiver with players’ signatures and pay with one check per team made out to Detroit City Futbol League. Registration is August 18 from 12-8 p.m. at the DCFC club shop located at 2750 Yemans Street.
