DETROIT, MI – Detroit City FC today announced the team has reached its predetermined cap of 2,000 for 2016 season tickets sales.
However, due to overwhelming demand, City has allocated an extra 200 season tickets for supporters who missed their chance to purchase their own.
DCFC encourages supporters to act quickly to secure their rightful place at Keyworth Stadium as the club expects additional season tickets to sell out within days. You can purchase your season tickets here.
Tickets are just $60 for entry to all six of DCFC’s regular season home matches, in addition to four of its home friendly matches.
Last season, 1,500 season ticket packages sold out in 89 days. Tickets for the 2016 season went on sale to the public on November 27, 2015.
“We’ve seen demand skyrocket over the past few days, on top of the ever-growing excitement surrounding our fifth season,” City co-owner Alex Wright said. “2016 is shaping up to be our biggest year yet. Now more than ever, it’s an exciting time for Detroit’s soccer team.”
This year marks DCFC’s first at its new home at Keyworth Stadium. City is currently renovating the 80-year-old stadium after successfully completing Michigan’s largest community financing campaign in the offseason.
A total of 527 supporters pledged nearly $750,000 for the investment campaign.
Keyworth Stadium holds a capacity of 6,000, which is nearly double the capacity of DCFC’s former home at Cass Tech High School, where the team played its first four seasons.
Le Rouge’s home opener at Keyworth kicks off on Friday, May 20 at 7:30 p.m. against AFC Ann Arbor.
Season tickets do not grant entry to Detroit’s international friendly against FC United of Manchester on Saturday, May 28 at 3 p.m. Supporters may purchase tickets for the historic match here.
