Detroit City FC announced today that the team will be opening up the 2016 preseason on the road against the Saginaw Valley State University Cardinals.
The preseason friendly match will be Saturday, April 16 with kick-off set for 3 p.m. Admission is free for all supporters.
SVSU plays at Robert C. Braddock Field (7200 Davis Road, Saginaw, MI 48604). The soccer stadium is located next to the SVSU football stadium.
Earlier in the week, Le Rouge announced six Cardinals will be suiting up for City in 2016. Troy Watson (junior), Tyler Channell (senior), Alex Isaevski (sophomore) and Tyler Stephens (junior) will all return to DCFC’s roster. Jordan Kalk (junior) and Omar Sinclair (freshman) are new additions in 2016.
To cap off the preseason, Le Rouge will host the Muskegon Risers on Saturday, May 7 at 3 p.m. The match will be hosted at Hurley Field in Berkley, MI. It will be free for season ticket holders and $5 for non-season ticket holders.
