Join Detroit City FC and University of Detroit Mercy as the Titans’ men’s soccer team hosts UIC on Saturday, October 17 in a special night dedicated to Detroit’s soccer team and Detroit’s college team. Kick-off is set for 12 p.m. at Titan Field.
In celebration of two of Detroit’s leading soccer organizations, the first 75 supporters in attendance will receive a limited edition Detroit Titans scarf. Supporters will also be able to purchase DCFC merchandise and view a rendering of Le Rouge’s plans to rehabilitate Keyworth Stadium.
The ties between DCFC and UDM date back to City’s inaugural season, when Adam Bedell became the first Titan to wear Rouge & Gold in DCFC’s first-ever match in 2012. Bedell played for City until 2013 when he then was drafted in the 2014 Major League Soccer (MLS) SuperDraft. Since then, several Titan alumni have represented DCFC, including Moustafa Bazzi, Cameron Roberts and Matt Ybarra (2013-present). Ybarra now serves as a graduate assistant for the men’s soccer program.
University of Detroit Mercy also partners with DCFC to allow Le Rouge access to Titan Field for its training sessions throughout the summer season.
Tickets are FREE at Titan Field prior to the 12 p.m. kick-off. Lend your voices in support of the Titans and soccer in Detroit!
