A bittersweet aspect of our growth as a club is that over the years, we have lost members of our community-in-soccer.
On this memorial page, we recognize those supporters who are no longer with us but have helped make us the team we are today.
If your loved one was a member of the DCFC community, please submit their name and photo to the club by clicking below.

KIRK NICOLA
Kirk loved DCFC and all things soccer! He brought the best energy to those around him, at games and everywhere else in life. He’s been gone for a year and is still missed very much.

JIM HARKINS
Long time season ticket holder and President of DCFC Youth West.

ROBERT (BOB) WOODS
Bob Woods was a DCFC fan and a proud season ticket holder for over 7 years. There was nothing Bob loved more than sharing the fun of DCFC with others. Bob loved celebrating life milestones at a DCFC game including hosting his daughter’s 16th and 21st birthday parties at a game. When Bob wasn’t at a game, he could be found reffing at the clubhouse or cheering on his daughter while she played in DCFC’s Co-ed adult league. Bob’s passion and love for the club lives on in his daughters, family, and friends.

COLLEEN GATZKE
After a busy week, DCFC matches were part of our weekends together. She loved the vibe, the camaraderie, and getting in early on something that took Detroit by storm.

ERIC BRADLEY
Eric passed unexpectedly and way too young. He loved sport and especially the DCFC community. Much love to Eric.

JOSH PRENTICE
Josh was a passionate supporter, right from the outset of the club. He developed an incredible love for the program, its members, and fellow supporters. Josh was the epitome of Detroit City Til I Die. He was buried in Rouge and Gold, just how he lived.

JACOB PRATT
Jacob was a DCFC supporter from the very first game in 2012. Jacob used his creativity to create chants and was key in organizing some of the first away trips to Cleveland and Erie.

JEFF SULLIVAN
Jeff loved the trek to the stadium and the entire community of DCFC. He was grateful for his welcome and the club’s values.

RANDY HAUTER

SIMON LYNCH
DCFC was the atmosphere Simon had wished for since moving to the US from England in 1995. He loved watching the growth of club and was thrilled to become an owner.

PARKER NOBELS
Parker was a dear friend, a beautiful woman, a trans advocate, and a proud City supporter.

GARY TORTOMASI
Gary was a season ticket holder for years. He helped out with painting banners and would always be around to help if needed. He was proudly vocal about his love for all things DCFC.

JEAN-PIERRE GUÉDÈS
My father loved going to matches at Cass and Keyworth. At both grounds he loved chilling long the chain link fence, meeting new people, and he appreciated that he had regular soccer to watch despite being far from home.

BRIAN BOOKER
Brian was the co-founder and chef at Spice Rack, a food truck staple on the DCFC concourse for the past few years.

CARL BANKS
Carl was a devout supporter of Detroit City since it started. He was a graduate of Cass Tech High School. He was literally buried in rouge and gold (in the outfit he is pictured in actually).

JOSH DEVAULT
Josh was a good friend that shared a love for the city of Detroit that we all do. He only became a member of the DCFC community 2 years ago, and fit right in like he belonged, because he did! We will forever miss him and his big heart.

PATRICK JOHN RODEMEYER
Patrick was a proud and vocal DCFC faithful who loved watching his favorite team with his family.
