Detroit City FC (DCFC) has announced its 2026 preseason schedule as preparation for the club’s fifth campaign in the USL Championship gets underway.
The players reported for duty on Friday, Jan. 23, for a week in the Detroit area before the club packs up and heads down to Sarasota, Florida, starting on Feb. 2.
Detroit City currently has three games scheduled for their camp in Florida, starting on Wednesday, Feb. 4, vs USL-Championship newcomer Sporting Jacksonville at the IMG Academy. They will then face off against MLS-side FC Cincinnati in Clearwater on Saturday, Feb. 7. Detroit closes out the Florida trip on Wednesday, Feb. 11, in Sarasota for a matchup against USL-League-One-side FC Naples.
Once the club returns from Florida, they will travel up to Auburn Hills to take on Oakland University on Wednesday, Feb. 18. Just days later, DCFC will face MLS-Next-Pro-side Toronto FC II on Saturday, Feb. 21. The preseason closes out on Feb. 28 when DCFC takes on Western Michigan University on Wayne State University’s campus.
Closing out the preseason schedule will be a friendly against USL-League-One-side Forward Madison on March 7 at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. This matchup will give both sides an early scouting opportunity, as they will face off again on May 16 in the USL Prinx Cup.
All of Detroit City FC’s preseason matches will be closed to the public. The club will provide updates throughout the preseason at detcityfc.com and on their social media channels.
