DETROIT, Michigan - The Detroit City FC women’s side is set to host the inaugural United Women’s Soccer Keyworth Showcase in Hamtramck from July 24-26. The two-day tournament features four UWS clubs from Michigan.

The tournament opens with Midwest United and Livonia FC - meeting for the second time this summer - at 4:30 pm. Following game one will be Le Rouge’s first-ever home match for the women’s team, as DCFC hosts Lansing United at 7:30 on Friday night. Sunday opens with the third-place bout at 3 pm, followed by the championship tilt at 6:30 pm.

Due to the state's existing Executive Order related to sporting events, fans will not be permitted to attend this weekend's historic matches.

The club appreciates the continued support and patience of season ticket holders. In the coming days, the club will roll out options for season ticket holders in relation to major announcements about the future of the organization.

Due to production constraints related to COVID, DCFC matches for the rest of the month of July and the August 2 men’s match will not be broadcast on TV20 Detroit. Matches will still be streamed live on MyCujoo, Youtube, Facebook, and DetCityFC.com/watchcity. Neal Ruhl and John Kreger will be on the call for Detroit City FC matches. Daniella Bruce makes her debut with the City broadcast team and will be joining Ruhl for the call for non-DCFC matches.

The Detroit City women come off their opening match on the road at Midwest United last weekend. Le Rouge struck first early in the second half as defender Syd Blomquist took a wide ball from midfielder Hannah Becker, played it across, and found the foot of forward Tori Singstock on the back post. Midwest United responded with three unanswered.

Members of the working media looking to cover the Keyworth Showcase are asked to fill out the questionnaire above and will be required to adhere to social distancing guidelines. For the health and safety of players, staff and media, no field access will be granted. Media in attendance will be asked to remain within the grandstands and select areas around the field.
