It's been decades since a professional Detroit soccer team took to the pitch.

But that all changes this week.

Detroit City FC visits Los Angeles Force on Friday, February 28 in the club's first-ever professional match, and the start of its 2020 National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) Spring season.

It's a historic week for Le Rouge, whose highly anticipated 2020 season brings its first full professional men's season and its first-ever women's season. The club recently announced it had paid off its debt from its community investment campaign to fund renovations at Keyworth Stadium in 2016.

DCFC also announced it had sold out of Gold Card season tickets, the club's only premium ticket package, for the upcoming season.

2020 City Card season tickets offer the best value in Detroit sports, granting admission to all men's and women's regular season and friendly matches for as low as $125. City Cards are still available for purchase at

Single match tickets for the 2020 men's spring season will go on sale to 2020 season ticket holders at on Sunday, March 1 at 10 AM ET before opening up to the general public on Monday, March 2 at 10 AM ET.

Detroit City FC at LA Force kicks off at 10 PM ET. The Detroit City Clubhouse (3401 E Lafayette St) will be hosting a watch party for the match, and event details are here. Fans can also catch the action live on
