Detroit City FC today announced it will host USL Championship side Indy Eleven for a friendly match at Keyworth Stadium in Hamtramck, Mich., on Tuesday, August 13.

The first-ever meeting between the two clubs will kick off from at 7:30 PM ET.

Established in 2013, Indy Eleven played four seasons in the NASL before moving to the then-USL (now USL Championship) in 2018. DCFC Head Coach Trevor James served as Technical Director of Indy Eleven from 2017-2018 and oversaw the club’s transition to the USL.

Indy Eleven plays its home games at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. The August 13th friendly marks Indy's first in-season friendly in club history.

Tickets for DCFC vs. Indy Eleven will be available for purchase for just $12 at starting Friday, May 17. Tickets will be $15 at the gate on matchday.

Indy Eleven tops off the list of DCFC’s opponents visiting Keyworth Stadium for friendly matches in 2019. Detroit will host Liga MX’s Lobos BUAP on Wednesday, July 10 as part of the club’s annual S3 International Series presented by Strategic Staffing Solutions; City will also host Atlas FC of Liga MX on Saturday, September 7 presented by DTE Energy.

“We’ve had a lot of respect for the Indy Eleven organization since they launched, and it is a real privilege to host them at Keyworth this summer,“ said DCFC CEO Sean Mann.

“We were pleased to accept Detroit City FC’s invitation to play on a number of fronts,” said Indy Eleven CEO and President Greg Stremlaw. “DCFC will provide a level of competition that will keep our roster sharp and an environment we look forward to experiencing firsthand.”
